Description	EGCG is a polyphenolic compound extracted from green tea in China. EGCG is the highest content of catechins in green tea, is one of the most effective antioxidant polyphenols, it has greater activity, water solubility.
Characteristics	In addition to the absorption peak at 240~280nm, EGCG peaks at 350nm due to its lactone structure, and there are usually more than two peak positions. The molecular weight of ECCG is 458, stable at room temperature and in water. The lower the pH value, the better the stability.

For Diabetics: EGCG is an inhibitor of sucrase, so it can inhibit the conversion of sucrose to glucose, causing blood sugar to drop. Anti-Virus: EGCG can inhibit HIV-IRT and DNA polymerase, and it suggested that EGCG can inhibit HIV-IRT and DNA polymerase better than AIT. Anti-cancer: EGCG not only inhibits the high-quality mutations of various chemical carcinogens, but also inhibits the mutagenicity of some mixed carcinogens. Antioxidant: EGCG is a class of chemical substances containing polyphenolic hydroxyl groups, which can easily be oxidized into esters to provide proton H, so it has significant antioxidant characteristics. The antioxidant capacity of EGCG is 18 times that of Vitamin E and 3 to 10 times that of Vitamin C. This strong antioxidant ability of EGCG eliminates free radicals in vivo, blocks the synthesis of N-nitroso compounds, and inhibits lipoxygenase activity and lipid peroxidation.
